The Arrival Of Our Max

so you might want to make your self a cuppa and get a snack because this is a long one. Also goes into a little bit of detail on a few things that happen. 1 am in the morning we were in bed and I felt like I had wet my self so I went to the loo tidied my self up and got back into bed. It happened again. I woke Jim up and said something isn't right here, I think I keep wetting my self or my waters have broke, and at the point a lot more fluid came out. So I rang the hospital and explained that I think my waters have broke but i'm only 35 weeks. They told us to come in. So here was the slight issue neither me or James drive and it was 1 in the morning which family member was going to be up? and obviously none of them expecting me to ring them telling them that my waters could of broke. So we rang my mum a few times, no answer. Next best person was my brother. So I rang him and luckily he answered, he obviously was a bit shocked as to why I was ringing him. I said "I thin

Pregnancy From 20 Weeks To 35 Weeks.

So my 20 week scan was just as nerve racking as the 12 week one.We decided we would find out if we were having a boy or a girl. I'll admit I wanted a girl but as long as baby was happy and healthy then it was all good and if it was a girl then bonus. Obviously Jim wanted a boy he did make a good point, that if we have a boy now and a girl second she would have a big brother to protect her which I thought was quite sweet. So the sonographer said 'its a boy' I was so happy and excited but I was especially excited and happy for Jim his face just lit up, I know it meant a lot for him to have a boy so that his family surname would carry on as he has a family of girls. So after we found out that we were having a baby boy all the measurement were being done. Our little boy would not sit still, taking after his daddy already. It took double the time to do the scan due to him wiggling so much. But the lady had mentioned that he had quite a big tummy(this is where the sweets come i

Pregnancy 5 Weeks To 20 Weeks.

so we found out I was pregnant at what I thought was about 5 weeks (This changes but we will get to that in a bit). The first symptoms I got were bloating, cramps similar to period cramps, tiredness,I was hungry a lot, coccyx pain and the most common symptom and the one that everyone asks about I had morning sickness or evening sickness in my case.  So lets have a little chat about morning (evening) sickness. If your not keen on sick then skip this bit. I suffered with it quite badly. I think what made it worse was the fact that some nights I wouldn't finish work until 10 o'clock and I would have to warn Jim who would come and walk me home that I felt sick and to prepare him self with the fact I was probably going to be sick on the way and he would have to watch over me whilst it all happened in the street. Some nights it was raining so he would stand over me with an umbrella talk about true love bless him. Another feeling I had was I felt like I couldn't really go out and

Will I Ever Get My Dream Job??

So i'm going to start from the beginning. I have always wanted to be a mum, being the oldest of four I have or I would like to think that I have always had maternal instincts, from trying to help my mum with my baby brother and sister who may I add are twins and to top it off they go and have another one 2 years later my littlest sister so you can imagine how busy our two bed flat was with all 6 of us,  My mum always said that I helped but i'm pretty sure that I probably made it harder for her. Then on to wanting to play 'mummy and daddy' I remember having a doll that I called George and using my mums V shaped pillow to lay him down having learnt that from watching my mum with my brother and sisters. Then on to school 'sex ed'they teach you all about the birds and bees and puberty. From these sessions I got the impression that pretty much every time you had sex you would get pregnant and I thought this for a long time.oh how I was wrong. I remember at wo

Hi My name is Rosie I'm 27 years old. Wife to James, we have been together for six years and married one. We live in a village called East Preston in West Sussex with our seven month old son called Max. I'm currently on maternity leave from where I worked as an assistant manager in a pet shop and I've been there for ten years. I enjoy walking and being outside. I love wildlife and all things to do with animals. I also love photography and ever since I've had Max I take photos of him on a daily basis it's a habit he is just to cute not to. I decided to start this blog because I thought it would be nice to share my journey into motherhood and throughout also other bits and pieces that's life throws at you.
